Sandia Peak

The Sandia Mountains are the most prominent mountains in central New Mexico. Topping out at 10,400 feet and towering over Albuquerque, these mountains offer a ton for any tourist stopping by on their travels across old Route 66.

You can take the Sandia Peak Tramway up to the top of the mountain where you can get a great look at the town below, the San Pedros Mountains to the east, the Santa Rosa Mountains to the west and everything in between.

And if you come to the top during the winter months, you can even get in some great skiing. It really has something for everything!
