Located on BNSF’s southern transcontinental route between Chicago and Los Angeles, Flagstaff, Arizona, sees over 50 trains a day. At times, the interval between trains can be as low as a few minutes.
That means railroad crossings like this one are active a large portion of the day while pedestrians and cars wait for trains to pass.
