Union Pacific Train and Alkali Flats

The area between Lordsburg, New Mexico, and the Arizona state line to the west is dominated by an alkali flat, a high desert dried-out lake featuring a concentration of dry salts.
Today, a Union Pacific train travels across the Lordsburg Subdivision headed west towards Tucson, Phoenix and possibly even Los Angeles.
