It’s just before dawn on the south rim of the Grand Canyon. It’s completely quiet here at our spot near Yavapai Point, with only the occasional rock squirrel breaking the silence at this early hour.
The sun is almost up as a purple haze blocks our view of the canyon floor below. Just a few more minutes before the sun comes up reveals all that this canyon has to offer.
